Manchester United line up against Man City includes Phil Jones but no Maguire plus Martial on bench

Manchester United have named their side to face Man City in the first-leg of the Carabao Cup semi finals on Tuesday night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made six changes from the side which drew with Wolves at the weekend in the FA Cup third round, with David de Gea returning in goal in place of Sergio Romero.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka returns to the side at right back while Brandon Williams retains his place on the left side of the back four. Harry Maguire has failed to overcome his injury, which means Phil Jones starts the game alongside Victor Lindelof in defence.

Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay remain absent which means Solskjaer has gone for a midfield trio of Fred, Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard.

Daniel James starts up front along with Marcus Rashford, who captains the side, and Mason Greenwood. Anthony Martial is on the bench.

United XI: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Jones, Lindelof, Williams; Fred, Pereira, Lingard; James, Greenwood, Rashford.

Subs: Romero, Dalot, Matic, Chong, Gomes, Mata, Martial.
