Manchester United and Man City learn FA Youth Cup schedule as 2019-20 competition is revived

Manchester United and Manchester City still have the chance to win the 2019/20 FA Youth Cup, with the competition now set to continue.

United's Under-18s reached the semi-finals of the competition earlier this year and were due to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge before the tournament was put on hold as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. City were due to take on Blackburn.

However, the games will now go ahead with a change of venue, with the two young teams set to travel to St George’s Park, where the final will also be held.

Nicky Butt, United's head of first-team development, was the person responsible for suggesting the idea to use England's training ground as the venue for the rest of the competition.

City's match will be up first - with a 5pm kick-off on Friday, October 30 - before United’s clash with Chelsea at 7:45pm.

Whichever sides reach the final will only have to wait three days, with the decisive showdown taking place on Monday, November 2 at 7:30pm. All three encounters will be shown live on BT Sport 1 as United aim to win the trophy for a record 11th time.
