Manchester United are reportedly leading the race to sign Jadon Sancho - and could splurge over £100million on the Borussia Dortmund winger.
Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be interested in signing Sancho but it is claimed by The Independent that a move to United is more likely for the 18-year-old winger.
The report says Sancho's performances for Dortmund this season have convinced United that he should be their top target going into the summer.
Solskjaer is said to want to combine Sancho with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial in a dangerous-looking front three.
Sancho will have three years left on his contract at Dortmund come the summer and that is why United will have to pay £100m plus bonuses to land him.
Manchester City have a buy-back option on Sancho but the expectation is that they would let United have a free run at the teenager as they have no intention of re-signing him for a nine-figure sum.
It is claimed that Sancho has no strong desire to leave Dortmund but is keen to test himself at the highest level possible.
United tried to sign Sancho from City in 2017 but his move to Old Trafford was blocked as Pep Guardiola's side didn't want him joining a rival.
He ended up signing for Borussia Dortmund for £8m instead and has gone on to establish himself as one of the best players in the Bundesliga.
Sancho has scored nine goals and notched 18 assists in all competitions for Dortmund this season.
