Marcus Rashford did not train on Wednesday ahead of the Europa League quarter-final second leg with Granada.
Europe is Manchester United's last real chance of silverware this season so Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping for no slip-ups at Old Trafford, with his side already holding a 2-0 lead from last week's first leg.
The United manager will be without several key players for the match, however, with Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay suspended, Eric Bailly still unavailable following a positive test for Covid-19 and Anthony Martial sidelined with injury.
Star striker Rashford is also a doubt for the match as he continues to struggle with an injury that has bothered him for weeks.
"Marcus didn’t train on Wednesday so I’ll have to give him as much time as possible," Solskjaer told United's in-house media. "His foot is still a little bit sore, but, fingers crossed, he is available.”
There is some good news, however, as Welsh winger Daniel James is back after he missed Sunday's victory over Tottenham due to a knock, while Solskjaer says Juan Mata is also ready for action after making his return on the bench in North London following a lengthy absence.
“Dan James is back," the Norwegian said. "He trained on Wednesday so he should be available. Of course, we’ve lost a few through suspension for this game against Granada."
On Mata he said: "He’s come back in and trained with us now for a little bit more than a week and he looks himself again – sharp and he’s ready to come on.”
