Manchester United issue statement on alleged Harry Maguire incident in Mykonos

Manchester United say Harry Maguire is cooperating with Greek authorities after an alleged incident in the Greek island of Mykonos.

Reports claim the United captain Maguire, 27, was allegedly involved in an altercation with other English tourists.

A United spokesperson told the MEN: "The club is aware of an alleged incident involving Harry Maguire in Mykonos last night. Contact has been made with Harry and he is fully cooperating with the Greek authorities.

"At this time we will be making no further comment."

Maguire joined United from Leicester last summer for £80million, a world record fee for a defender, and started every Premier League match in 2019-20.
