Manchester United issue Marcus Rashford injury update

Manchester United hope to have Marcus Rashford back from injury when they face West Ham in the Premier League this weekend.

The England international was forced off with a shoulder problem during United's 3-1 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Rashford went straight down the Old Trafford tunnel following his withdrawal, as Paul Pogba replaced him with 15 minutes left to spare in the match.

A brace from Neymar and a strike from Marquinhos secured victory for PSG at Old Trafford as United missed their chance to secure qualification from Group H.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side need a point from their final group game away to RB Leipzig to reach the last-16 of the competition, and they hope Rashford will be part of the squad to do just that.

The 23-year-old appeared to be in some pain as he made his way from the pitch but Solskjaer is confident the striker will be back in contention for the game at West Ham on Saturday.

"It's a niggling shoulder injury," Solskjaer told BT Sport. "Let's see how quickly he can recover. Hopefully he will be ready for the West Ham game."
