Manchester United interested in former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey and more transfer rumours

Manchester United are one of three clubs interested in bringing Aaron Ramsey back to the Premier League this summer, according to reports.

Ramsey left England last summer after spending 11 years at Arsenal as he moved to Italian giants Juventus on a free transfer. However, the move hasn't gone completely to plan as the Welshman has been a bit-part player for the Old Lady and the majority of his appearances have come from the substitutes bench.

Following their elimination from the Champions League, Juve's new manager Andrea Pirlo is set to cull his squad this summer and Ramsey is one of several players that, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, they are trying to flog to Premier League clubs.

It's claimed that United, as well as West Ham and Crystal Palace, are interested in the midfielder but the Serie A champions would demand €25million to let him go, with his hefty salary also proving to be a stumbling block to any departure.

While United were once looking at bringing a midfielder to the club this summer in the form of Jude Bellingham, MEN Sport understands that plans to strengthen in the middle of the park have now been put on hold until next year. Ramsey is also 29 which places him outside the club's ideal age range for new signings.

The report also claims that United are interested in Douglas Costa and Federico Bernardeschi. MEN Sport understands that a loan move for Costa was recently under consideration by United but interest has since cooled as Bournemouth's David Brooks is seen as a more attainable target following the Cherries' relegation.

Elsewhere, reports suggest United will miss out on signing Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes as the Brazilian is set for a move to Arsenal.

The Times report the defender completed a medical with the Gunners this week and is set to seal a switch to London in the coming days.

Various reports claim United looked to hijack the deal at the last minute but MEN Sport understands he was not on their radar.
