Manchester United injury round-up - Maguire, Rashford, Amad and Shaw latest

Marcus Rashford got the green light to return to full Manchester United training on Friday.

The forward played through the pain barrier last season for United and for England at this summer's European Championship, but it was decided after the tournament that it was best for Rashford to undergo surgery on his shoulder injury to solve the problem.

Rashford was understood to be ahead of schedule in his recovery after that operation and he returned to light training at Carrington during September before revealing this week that a decision by medical staff on his return to full work would be made on Friday.

The 23-year-old was then duly given the nod to return to full training on Friday morning which means his recovery is now complete, but United's game against Everton will come too soon for Rashford and he'll instead be available after the international break.

Amad has been sidelined since August after picking up a thigh muscle injury that scuppered his loan move to Feyenoord.

The youngster returned to light training this week and it's expected that he'll also make his full comeback after the international break.

After sustaining a calf injury against Aston Villa which subsequently ruled him out of United's clash against Villarreal in midweek, Harry Maguire was in attendance at Leigh Sports Village on Wednesday as United's 19s played in the UEFA Youth League.

The United captain is set to be sidelined for multiple weeks with that issue and his return date is currently unknown.

Finally, Luke Shaw was forced off against Aston Villa through injury, too, and the left-back wasn't in United's squad for their Champions League game versus Villarreal - the MEN understand he could miss United's fixture against Everton on Saturday.

"No, Luke feels better but he has still got the shoulder injury," Solskjaer said at his pre-match press conference.
