Manchester United in Ousmane Dembele transfer desperation as club 'consider' cutting major corner to seal deal

Desperate Manchester United are reportedly considering skipping a medical in a bid to sign Ousmane Dembele on-loan from Barcelona.

The Old Trafford club are scrambling for reinforcements following Sunday's humiliating 6-1 defeat to Tottenham.

A push to sign Jadon Sancho looks dead in the water after United were unable to agree a deal with Borussia Dortmund.

The club have since turned their attention to Nou Camp winger Dembele.

But with time running out before the 11pm Premier League deadline, Spanish outlet Diario SPORT insist the two clubs are open to skipping medical checks.

Barcelona are keen to sign Memphis Depay from Lyon but it's said they must move players on before bringing in the Dutchman.

Earlier on Monday, United confirmed the arrival of left-back Alex Telles from Porto.

In a transfer worth around £15million, the Brazilian defender has signed a four-year deal with Ole Gunnar Solksjaer's side.

United are also working to bring in free agent Edinson Cavani.
