Manchester United 'in four-way battle for £40million-rated Kim Min-jae' and more transfer rumours

Manchester United will battle Premier League rivals Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham for Kim Min-jae this summer, according to reports.

The 26-year-old only moved to Napoli from Fenerbahce last year but has been hugely impressive, replacing Kalidou Koulibaly at centre-back as Luciano Spalletti's side close in on the Serie A title. The South Korean has been an ever-present at the heart of defence, his aggressiveness earning the nickname 'The Monster'.

United are thought to be eyeing a new central defender this summer amid plans to offload the likes of Harry Maguire and Eric Bailly. They have been previously linked with Kim, but now The Sun reports that they will face competition from three top-flight rivals.

Despite his brilliant campaign in Naples, Kim's current contract contains a release clause of just £40million. Spalletti's side are said to be in talks over a new deal that will see that clause increase, but the defender is said to be keen on a Premier League move.

Elsewhere, Croatian outlet Jutarnji report that United are 'ready to pay' the €10million release clause for Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic.

Despite his current contract expiring this summer David De Gea looks set to sign a new short-term deal at United ahead of next season.

But with Dean Henderson set to leave and Jack Butland returning to parent club Crystal Palace, Erik ten Hag will likely be in the market for a shot-stopper, with reports suggesting they are interested in Livakovic.

The 28-year-old has made over 250 times for Zagreb and has been capped by Croatia 43 times, with any interested parties needing to activate his €10million release clause.
