Manchester United 'identify' Denzel Dumfries as Aaron Wan-Bissaka transfer alternative

Manchester United are considering a summer move for Denzel Dumfries, according to reports.

United are in the market for a new full back this summer and have reportedly identified the PSV Eindhoven defender as an alternative option should they not land Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.

The Sun suggest Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have already line up a move to sign the Netherlands international and that a fee of £25m could be enough to lure him to Old Trafford in the coming weeks.

It is suggested the club were prioritising moves for either Wan-Bissaka or Thomas Meunier this summer but that the high asking prices being quoted have led them to seek other options.

According to the report United scouts have been impressed by the development of 23-year-old Dumfries and have urged Ed Woodward to consider a move for him in the coming weeks.

In terms of other transfer news, a huge opening bid has reportedly been made for the services of Bruno Fernandes this summer.

United have been heavily linked with a move for the Portuguese international but reports state Atletico Madrid are currently in the best position to land his signature this summer.

A Bola  suggest it is Atletico who have made the most serious pursuit of his services and they even report the Spanish club have begun negotiations by launching a €50m bid.
