The Mirror report that Manchester United are weighing up a £45m bid for Lille striker Nicolas Pepe.

Timo Werner latest

The Mirror report that Liverpool remain in the hunt for RB Leipzig star Timo Werner.

Werner is out of contract at Leipzig next summer, meaning he will likely leave the club this transfer window.

Reports in Germany suggested he would remain in the Bundesliga, with Bayern Munich interested, yet Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has suggested that the club are yet to agree terms with Bayern, and the striker may even prefer a move to the Premier League.

"The situation is still the same. Timo Werner would rather not sign an extension," he told Sky, cited by  BuliNews .

"But that could change. I don’t think it’s completely out of the question that he could extend his deal. We haven’t talked to Bayern Munich about Timo Werner yet.

"Maybe he doesn’t even want to go to Munich. Maybe he would rather join Tuchel in Paris, Klopp at Liverpool or Favre at Dortmund."

The Sun claim that Atletico Madrid are keen on a move for Chelsea target Edinson Cavani.

PSG striker Cavani could be on his way out of the French capital after six years there, with the Uruguayan reportedly keen on a new challenge.

Chelsea are interested in his signature, but Atletico could well line him up as a replacement for Antoine Griezmann.
