Manchester United home kit 2021/22 revealed ahead of pre-season debut

Manchester United have officially unveiled their new home kit for the 2021/22 season.

The new home jersey was officially launched on Thursday morning ahead of their first pre-season match of the summer.

The big reveal happened after the kit appeared to have accidentally gone live early on the other side of the world, reports the MEN.

Adidas Australia put the new home jersey up for sale in the early hours of Thursday morning, including a promotional picture which showed teenage star Hannibal Mejbri modelling the product.

A product description on the manufacturer's official website references the words 'youth, courage and success' as the inspiration behind the new home shirt - with those three words emblazoned inside the neck of the kit.

"The thee pillars of Manchester United's motto have brought the club more than a century of triumphs," the description reads. "With its clean red design and white ribbed crewneck, this adidas authentic football jersey takes inspiration from the iconic kit that carried them to some of their most memorable moments.

"Built to perform on the pitch, it combines cooling HEAT.RDY with lightweight details. A devil sign-off on the back shows your pride. This product is made with Primegreen, a series of high-performance recycled materials."

Mejbri and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are two of the senior players seen modelling the shirt online, while Luke Shaw and Amad have also been pictured in it.
