Former Manchester United star Lee Sharpe has explained why Fred should be the player to replace the suspended Casemiro at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
United were dealt a blow on Wednesday night when Casemiro was handed his fifth booking of the season, at Selhurst Park. This caution meant that the Brazilian will have to serve a one-match ban this weekend.
Of course, Sunday marks the big clash with Arsenal which could decide whether or not the Reds have an outside chance of a title charge this season. Earlier in the campaign, Scott McTominay started in defensive midfield as United beat Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Casemiro played a secondary role on that day as the Reds became the first team to beat Mikel Arteta's side this season. Despite working last time, Sharpe believes that the Brazilian's international teammate should come in to face the Gunners.
He explained to talkSPORT: "I think it probably will be Fred that will come in, a slightly different player. Fred’s high energy and on his day can be a bit of a nightmare to play against.
"You just hope Fred has one of his better games. I think Fred’s only problem is when he’s tried to get on the ball with his back to goal off the back four.
"But I think defensively and energy wise he can get around the pitch, he can annoy people, he can stop people from playing." Like earlier in the campaign, United will come up against a buoyant Arsenal today.
Before the start of play, the Gunners sit five points clear of second-placed Manchester City with a game in hand over them.
