Everton boss Marco Silva says he is not bothered by Jose Mourinho's public insistence that Manchester United will finish above the Merseysiders.

Silva's side currently sit sixth in the Premier League table, level on points with seventh placed Bournemouth and Man United in eighth.

Following Wednesday's 2-2 draw with Arsenal, Mourinho told reporters he was confident of a top six finish.

“I think at the end of the season, once more, the top six will be done by the six teams that we all know that have that responsibility to finish in the top six," Mourinho said.

"I don’t think Everton is going to be in front of Manchester United by the end of the season."

Speaking at his press conference on Thursday, Silva acknowledged that the pressure was on the United boss to finish above his side, but refused to give a verdict on the prediction.

"It is his prediction, nothing more. He knows what is his obligation, and what is the obligation?

"Top six. He knows, and let's see at the end of the season if his prediction is right or not."
