Manchester United 'have enquired’ about Victor Osimhen and more transfer rumours

Manchester United have reportedly enquired about the transfer availability of Napoli star Victor Osimhen.

The 21-goal Serie A leading scorer is on Erik ten Hag’s list of interests although the Dutchman has circled Harry Kane as his primary summer target. The Nigeria international is attracting interest from around Europe with Napoli - who lead the Italian league by 19 points - thought to be resigned to losing him at the end of the season.

International teammate and Everton staple Alex Iwobi recently admitted that he believes Osimhen has an “ambition” to play in the Premier League, with Chelsea thought to have lodged an interest in the attacker too.

Now, a report from RMC Sport says both United and the Blues have penned enquiries about the 24-year-old. It also adds, though, that Paris Saint-Germain have made Osimhen their top summer target with director Luis Campos having already met the representatives of the player.

The report claims Osimhen is open to a move to the French capital and has trust in Campos after he brought the striker to Lille in 2019. Napoli are set to be tough negotiators with rumours suggesting that the champions-in-waiting are poised to hold out for a figure comfortably beyond the £100m mark.

This means only a select few clubs would be able to afford Osimhen, who would cost a significant chunk of Ten Hag’s budget next season.

Meanwhile, Fichajes says Sevilla have thrown their hat into the ring for Victor Lindelof. The defender hinted a summer exit could be on the cards during the international break, saying he will “assess his options” at the end of the season.

There are expected to be more outgoings than signings at United this summer and minute-limited Lindelof could be one to head out of the exit door. Sevilla are battling relegation this season and have already had two changes in manager.

The Spaniards, who face United in the quarter-finals of the Europa League next month and have Reds defender Alex Telles on loan, are keen to revamp their squad but would certainly only attract Lindelof if they avoid the drop this season.
