Manchester United have £200m to spend, will battle Manchester City for young defender and want Christian Eriksen - Premier League rumours

Solskjaer's summer spend

We start in Manchester, where the Sunday Express are reporting that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is to be handed a club-record £200 million war-chest this summer in a bid to rectify the problems at Manchester United. One of his first moves will be to offer Paul Pogba the United captaincy according to the Sunday Mirror .

From there, they will rival Manchester City for Crystal Palace's £40m-rated English defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka, 21, writes the Mail on Sunday . That would be just the beginning, however, with the Sunday Mirror claiming United will triple Christian Eriksen's wages if the 27-year-old joins them in the summer.

And to complete their overhaul they will sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly according to the Sunday Express . The Senegal player is valued at £110m.

Inter target north London duo

The same outlet is reporting another big summer spend, but this time in Italy with Inter Milan. The Express report that they have identified Granit Xhaka as a possible transfer target this summer. The Gunners may use that money to fund a move for a fierce rival if the Sun on Sunday is to be believed.

They are chasing Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld and see a £25m move as a possibility. Tottenham won’t just be losing players, however, with the Mail on Sunday claiming they are monitoring Celta Vigo's Uruguayan striker Maxi Gomez. The 22-year-old has a £43.5m release clause in his contract, is keen to play for a club in Europe.

All change at Chelsea

Perhaps the biggest deal of the summer could come at Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea have held "exploratory" talks with a trio of potential buyers. The club is valued at £2.5bn, with US and Asian-based finance groups and Britain's richest man Jim Ratcliffe interested, writes the Mail on Sunday .

Roman Abramovich may not be the only man to leave Stamford Bridge this summer. The Telegraph claim that Willian could be the subject of a renewed bid from Barcelona after the club turned down £55 million for him last summer. Meanwhile, defender Matt Miazga, on loan at Reading, has told the Reading Chronicle he will consider his options come the summer.

And finally, Borussia Dortmund may have one of the most coveted youngsters in Europe in Jadon Sancho, but it is Alexander Isak that is the target for Chelsea according to The Sun . The striker has been on loan at Willem II this season and has found goal-scoring form while in Holland.
