Manchester United handed Kim Min-jae transfer boost, Victor Osimhen deal doubtful and more rumours

Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for Kim Min-jae - who has reportedly rejected a new and improved contract at Napoli.

A report from 90min claims that the Serie A title winner has turned down the fresh offer at Napoli - who are keen to remove the reported £52million release clause in his current contract. It is suggested the South Korea international's preference would be a move to Old Trafford, over other interested clubs Newcastle United and Paris Saint-Germain.

Napoli are keen to keep one of their stand-out players on board for another year at least, but interest in the 26-year-old could see him leave the club this summer. United boss Erik ten Hag wants to bolster his options in the heart of defence, with Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof both facing uncertain futures in Manchester. Kim Min-jae was voted the defender of the year in Italy's top flight - having arrived from Fenerbahce last summer.

However, while a move for the Napoli star remains on the cards, hope over Victor Osimhen is fading. United have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Harry Kane this transfer window, due to the cost of luring the Tottenham Hotspur captain away from the north London outfit.

The Daily Mail now report that a move for Osimhen is all but dead in the water too, with his price tag said to be a whopping £120million. Osimhen scored 26 goals in 32 appearances for Napoli last season and is under contract until the summer of 2025 - which puts Napoli in a strong position in the market.

With the Kane and Osimhen deals potentially pricing United out, a move for Atalanta star Rasmus Hojlund is said to be more 'realistic' for the Premier League giants. Hojlund, though, is more of an up-and-coming star at 20-years-of-age - not the finished article which Ten Hag is looking to add to his front line. The reported valuation of Hojlund is £40-60m.
