Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has said he would like Dean Henderson to remain at the club next season after the goalkeeper's impressive loan spell at Bramall Lane ended with the club's promotion to the Premier League.
United goalkeeper Henderson played in all 46 of the Blades' Championship games in their run to a second-placed finish, keeping 21 clean sheets in the process.
With uncertainty surrounding David de Gea's future at Old Trafford, the temptation for 22-year-old Henderson, should the Spaniard leave, could be to return to United and fight for the No.1 jersey.
However, Wilder is hoping that doesn't happen as he wants Henderson to man the sticks for Sheffield United in their first season in the top flight for 12 years.
"First and foremost we've got a huge amount of respect for Man United and the way they've been with us," Wilder told Sky Sports. "We've had two or three loan signings from there and they've been great and they (United) recognise that we are a decent club for their young players to come and gain valuable experience.

"Dean's had a season in the Championship, we d love that to happen (for him to return to Sheffield United), whether his ambitions get realised is down to Dean.
"Hopefully we can seal that one and crack on with that. we'd love Dean to come back."
De Gea's contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of next season and he has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, with Les Parisiens current No.1 Gigi Buffon thought to be considering retirement at the end of the campaign.
