Ryan Giggs has named Manchester United transfer target Jadon Sancho as one of the three best young players in world football.
United are interested in a move for the Borussia Dortmund winger at the end of the season and he has been given the seal of approval by club legend Giggs.
The Wales manager was hailing Marcus Rashford as one of the best youngsters in the game when he also praised Dortmund duo Sancho and Erling Haaland.
Speaking of Rashford, Giggs told Laureus: "I’ve seen him (Rashford) coming through the ranks, such a talented player.
"And you have Jadon Sancho at Dortmund, a young player who’s made the bold decision to leave Manchester City and go to another country at a young age. And he really has made a difference.
"His team-mate as well, Erling Haaland who’s scoring lots of goals."
United have been admirers of Sancho ever since he left Manchester City for Dortmund in 2017, and close friend Rashford has never hid his admiration for the fellow youngster.
Speaking last month Rashford revealed his desire to play with Sancho at club level: “He's like the new generation player," the United forward said on an Instagram Q&A. "It's definitely exciting to watch the player he's becoming — hopefully we can all play together. That would be good."
He added: “He [Jadon Sancho] plays off the cuff. He's imaginative.
"I think in this generation, they're the things you need to be world class."
