Manchester United great Gary Neville questions Paul Pogba involvement in Mino Raiola comments

Manchester United great Gary Neville has questioned Paul Pogba's involvement in Mino Raiola's latest outburst.

Raiola, Pogba's agent, caused a stir on Monday as he dropped the bombshell that the midfielder's career at United is 'over'.

The comments come to light just two days after Pogba put in his best performance of the season so far and scored a screamer in the victory over West Ham United.

“I can say that it’s over for Paul Pogba at Manchester United," Raiola said in an interview with Tuttosport.

The Italian publication later released further excerpts from the interview and Raiola went on to say that the 27-year-old was 'unhappy' at Old Trafford and has to 'change teams.'

The comments couldn't have come at a worse time for United, as it's the eve of their crucial Champions League group game with RB Leipzig in which they must avoid defeat to secure qualification to the last-16.

Former United captain Neville criticised the timing of the statement and also questioned whether Pogba was aware of what Raiola was going to say.

Accompanied with an angry face emoji, he tweeted: "Raiola - It’s happened many times before . However surely Paul knew he was making this announcement?

"If he wasn’t aware then we should see a quote from him very soon correcting his agent. Finally to do this ahead of Leipzig and the Man Derby is terrible timing for the Team."
