Manchester United great Gary Neville prepares Harry Maguire for Liverpool FC fixture on Twitter

Transport for Greater Manchester have been at it again with their funny road signs ahead of Manchester United facing Liverpool at Old Trafford this weekend.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side welcome the league leaders on Sunday with Jurgen Klopp's team having won all of their opening eight games of the season, while United sit 12th having won just twice.

And TfGM haven't let the occasion pass them by and have posted a tongue in cheek message on their traffic boards ahead of the weekend clash.

It reads: "When Harry met Salah!" in reference to the 1989 film When Harry Met Sally.

Gary Neville was one of the people who found the message funny and tweeted a picture of it on his social media accounts along with the caption: "Come on Harry Maguire."

It's not the first time this season the transport company have used puns and humour to present their message. Ahead of the home clash against Leicester last month they dubbed the game the "race for sixth" while advising people travelling that quicker journeys to Old Trafford would be available via tram.

United's players returned to training on Tuesday with the international break coming to a close and Solskjaer will be hoping at least some of his long list of injured players were fit to return.

Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Phil Jones, Victor Lindelof, Jesse Lingard and Mason Greenwood have all recently been sidelined through either injury or illness.

The manager will be able to give an update on their availability in his press conference on Friday.
