Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suggested Jesse Lingard will 'play a part' in Manchester United's upcoming fixture schedule.
Lingard, 28, seems set to leave United next year as he is out of contract in June and discussions over a new deal have collapsed.
The England international has not started in a Premier League game for United since New Year's Day in 2020 and his only club start this season was in the League Cup loss to West Ham.
Lingard has scored twice off the bench for United, including the winner at West Ham in September, and he also cleverly assisted Cristiano Ronaldo's stoppage-time winner against Villarreal later that month.
Despite his game-changing impacts, Lingard has often been an unused substitute and he could leave for a fee in the January transfer window.
"Jesse is training really hard, really well and he's ready and available for me, definitely," Solskjaer said "He's disappointed he's not playing more, of course.
"In regards to contract situations and talks, I've not been in them very closely. For me, Jesse is still a big part of this squad and an important part. He gives quality to the group every day.
"Every player wants to play as much as possible, Jesse and all my players. They're working really hard, can't fault the attitude when they're ready when they're called upon.
"Jesse has done well when he's played for us and he knows with the games coming up he's going to play a part."
Lingard was specifically baffled by his bench status for the win at Wolves in late August when Daniel James started ahead of him. James was sold to Leeds United two days later.
