Manchester United give Paul Pogba and David de Gea injury updates

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has indicated Paul Pogba will not be available for Manchester United's Premier League trip to Norwich on Sunday.

Pogba has missed six of the last eight games with an ankle injury and has not travelled to Serbia for United's third Europa League group game with Partizan Belgrade.

David de Gea was also omitted from the travelling squad after he recovered from a muscle abductor injury to start against Liverpool at the weekend.

"David will be ready for Sunday but we didn't take a risk of travelling here with him," Solskjaer said. "Paul, no."

Solskjaer presided over a club-record nine consecutive away matches in his first nine games on the road but United are winless away from home in 11. Their last victory away from Old Trafford remains the Champions League comeback at Paris Saint-Germain on March 6 and Solskjaer is unable to fathom why their travel sickness has persisted well into the current campaign.

"It's a question we've asked ourselves as well," Solskjaer added. "After I came in we won nine on the bounce and since then we haven't won any.

"It's an issue we have to deal with, to sort out as soon as possible. We've got four games away on the trot (Norwich, Chelsea in the League Cup and Bournemouth after Belgrade) and hopefully those statistics will turn.

"I think the Europa League is important for us. It's a tournament that the last time we were in it we won it, but you can't rely on a cup tournament. It might be luck, it might be injuries.

"The Champions League for next season is an aim, if it's top four or Europa League it doesn't matter. It's still not in November and talking about not being in top four, you're a little bit early there."
