Manchester United flop scores wonder-goal in Spain

Portuguese winger Bebe scored a magnificent goal on Sunday, with a goal of the season contender in Spain's Segunda Division for Real Zaragoza.

His side were 3-0 down in the 79th minute when he produced a moment of magic, receiving the ball in midfield before moving away from his marker and unleashing a 30-yard strike into the top corner. The player, whose full name is Tiago Manuel Dias Correia has only recently joined the Spanish club, moving from Madrid-based side Rayo Vallecano in January.

He scored a 93rd minute winner on his debut last week, becoming an instant hit with fans. One fan on Twitter even went as far as to say he could fire the club back into La Liga, writing: "If Bebe had been loaned out in August, he himself would have been capable of doing what no one has done in the last 15 years: putting Real Zaragoza where it deserves, in the elite."

Moving down into the Spanish second tier appears to be a good move for the 32-year-old, with two goals in his first two matches to show the quality which tempted Sir Alex Ferguson to sign him for United in 2010 from Vitoria Guimaraes. This move has since been labelled as one of the club's worst-ever transfers, but the winger has been able to establish a successful career.

Since a move away from United to Benfica in 2014, Bebe has played for a range of clubs in Portugal and Spain, amassing 227 appearances with spells in La Liga. The winger has scored lots of eye-catching goals in this time, perhaps justifying somewhat the move which United made for the player based on his flair and eye for the spectacular.
