Former Manchester United midfielder Kleberson believes Miguel Almiron is putting too much pressure on himself to succeed at Newcastle United.
Almiron has come under fire in recent weeks as he is still without a goal for the Magpies since joining from Atlanta United on January's transfer deadline day.
Both former manager Rafa Benitez and current boss Steve Bruce have been impressed by the Paraguay international since he joined the club, but questions are beginning to be asked with the 25-year-old snatching at gilt-edged opportunities to break his duck in recent weeks.
Former Blackburn and Celtic forward Chris Sutton blasted Almiron on national radio for having 'more dives than goals' on his record this term and the pressure is beginning to ramp up on the former Lanus star to start chipping in with more goals.
Almiron recorded a very strong goals and assists record in MLS and arrived with a big reputation and a big price tag on his back.
Kleberson knows all about the pressures of a South American star trying to crack the Premier League. Brazil coach decscribed the midfielder as the 'driving force' behind Brazil's 2002 World Cup triumph and lots was expected when he joined Manchester United in 2003.
He would last just two seasons at Old Trafford before he was sold to Turkish side Besiktas and his time at Manchester United was largely deemed a disappointment.
And when asked about Almiron's progress in England so far, Kleberson fears he is putting too much pressure on himself to display the quality he has shown in Argentina and USA.
“It is not great," Kleberson told Chronicle Live on behalf of Bonus Code Bets.
"He (Almiron) is a very talented player and has a lot of quality, but he is putting too much pressure on himself which makes it very hard for him when he steps on to the pitch.”
