Manchester United fans will relish what Crystal Palace coach has said about Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Crystal Palace's head of sports science and strength and conditioning, Scott Guyett, has heaped praise on Manchester United new boy Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 21-year-old Palace academy product left the Eagles last month to join Manchester United in a deal worth around £50million, having impressed for the south London side in his 46 appearances since making his professional debut against Tottenham in February 2018.

And Guyett has spoken about the progression of the Croydon-born defender, and given an insight into how impressive he has been during his time with Palace, and what he may offer the Red Devils after his big money move amid his duels in training with Wilfried Zaha.

"I didn't work directly with Aaron [Wan-Bissaka] until he came to train with the first team a couple of seasons ago, and if you'd told me five years ago that this guy would move to Manchester United for £50m at the age of 21, I'd have laughed," he said, in an interview with Training Ground Guru.

"But Aaron did so well as soon as he came into the first team and took everything into his stride. He's an incredible athlete - that was apparent as soon as he came to train with the first team, and was the only player I'd seen who could consistently beat Wilfried Zaha in a one-on-one.

"Some of the things he'd do in training, which people didn't see, you'd be shaking your head and saying 'how did he just make that tackle?'

"He's quick, I wouldn't say lightning, but is also very powerful, agile and has exceptional timing.

"It couldn't have happened to a nicer kid, because Aaron is a really genuine and dedicated lad. What an opportunity for him."
