Manchester United fans will love what summer signing Daniel James has been up to

Daniel James has been gearing up for his first season at Manchester United by undergoing intense training out in Dubai.

The Wales international became Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first signing at the club earlier this summer following his move from Swansea, and will be looking to make an immediate impact during the upcoming pre-season tour of Australasia.

United are due to reconvene at their Carrington training ground on Monday 1 July when the first day of pre-season officially begins for the club.

However, that hasn't stopped Wales international James from starting his pre-season regime early with a training camp in Dubai.

The 21-year-old has been undergoing a number of sprint challenges as part of his training regime and an upload from the organisers of the programme Kaizen 3 Performance have even claimed he is already the 'quickest player in the Premier League'.

James will be hopeful of showcasing his talents in the first-team this summer and could make his first appearance for the United next month when they begin their tour of the Far East with a friendly against Perth Glory.

Despite having played the majority of his senior football as a left winger, it is likely James will get the opportunity to play on the right during his United career.

Speaking after signing earlier in the month, the Welsh winger acknowledged the necessity to be versatile and backed himself to shine regardless of the role he is given.

"I think being versatile is important," James told Manutd.com. "A lot of players it's important you can play different positions, this year I've played left, right and I've played up top and I have enjoyed all three.

"It's important not to just play and enjoy one position. To play all three and enjoy all three you have more chance of getting in the team."

"I would say I'm quite a direct player I don't like just ball in to feet and dribble, I like to get in behind," he replied. "I would say I'm a pacey player."
