Memphis Depay has reminded followers on his Instagram page of his allegiance to Manchester United after a Manchester City youngster copied his goal celebration.
The Lyon forward, who spent an unsuccessful two years at United between 2015-17, re-posted a video of City youngster Nabil Touaizi scoring in the FA Youth Cup final against Liverpool on his Instagram story.
City lost the final on penalties but the teenager scored a brilliant goal to give City the lead on the stroke of half time and Touaizi celebrated with Depay's signature fingers-in-ears pose.
The 18-year-old tagged Depay in a video of his goal and celebration on Instagram and the former United man clearly appreciated it.
While the Lyon man decided to re-post onto his own page he reminded his followers he will always support United with the message: "The city stays red though."
After impressing for Holland and Lyon this season some United fans were hoping he would be making a return to Old Trafford.
However, reports earlier in the month from French publication L'Equipe claimed Liverpool are keeping a close eye on the forward and a move to Merseyside could be on the cards.
