Manchester United fans will love Brandon Williams' fiery pre-Man City message

Manchester United fans will love the picture Brandon Williams posted on his Instagram account in the build up to the Manchester derby.

The teenage full back was pictured arriving at the team hotel on Friday night along with the rest of the squad ahead of the clash against Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday and is in contention to start his first senior derby.

Williams has impressed upon promotion to the first team set up and has shown his fiery side in games against Chelsea and Brighton in the league and the teenager picked a feisty picture in the build up.

The teenager posted a snap of himself playing in a youth team derby where he can be seen squaring up to a City defender. While the left-back is unlikely to start against Pep Guardiola's side he's clearly relishing the opportunity and has been praised by Solskjaer this season.

It is understood his impressive performances have changed United's transfer plans and he's now viewed ahead of Luke Shaw in the pecking order.

Solskjaer tried to up the pre-match rivalry ahead of kick off too by having a little dig at City.

"At least we play every year now," Solskjaer smiled. "It took many years before I played a Manchester derby myself, it's changed in a way. Man City are a better team now than when I was playing.

"Football has changed quite a lot, you were allowed a few more proper tackles but with every little angle, everything being scrutinised, now it's more of a technical, tactical game than physical or mental.

"A derby should be played as a derby, we don't play basketball and we're ready if that happens."
