Manchester United fans want Ed Woodward to follow Real Madrid transfer example after Luka Jovic signing

Manchester United fans were frustrated to see Real Madrid confirm the signing of Eintract Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic and want to see Ed Woodward act in the transfer market.

Jovic spent two years at Frankfurt, scoring 36 goals in 75 games, and only signed permanently in April for around €7m after the club made his loan from Benfica permanent.

His form in the Bundesliga alerted Real Madrid, who acted quickly to sign the 21-year-old Serbian this summer.

And United fans were quick to respond to the news, but were not frustrated because they would have preferred Jovic to have moved to Old Trafford.

But instead, fans felt United should be making big moves in the transfer market like Madrid have, after both clubs endured difficult seasons in 2019/20.

As United finished trophyless in sixth, Real finished third in La Liga and were knocked out of the Champions League in the round of 16 by Ajax.

But Real appear to be spending money to ensure they are in a position to challenge next season, with Eder Militao and Rodrygo already signed and Chelsea's Eden Hazard reported to be near joining.

United fans, on the other hand, are growing frustrated with the lack of transfer activity so far this summer.
