Manchester United supporters have voted for Erik ten Hag as the ideal replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Manchester Evening News conducted a survey across the international break to find out what United should do next amid uncertainty surrounding Solskjaer's future following poor results and just over 17,000 fans voted to have their voices heard.
Antonio Conte was linked with replacing Solskjaer, however, those in power at Old Trafford had reservations about hiring the Italian and he duly moved to Tottenham, which has left few appropriate candidates in 'contention' to replace Solskjaer.
In the survey, 36 per cent of supporters voted for United to hire Ajax boss Ten Hag to replace Solskjaer, though.
Zinedine Zidane was the second most popular candidate with 19 per cent of fans voting for the Frenchman to get the job.
After Ten Hag and Zidane, there is a clear split in opinion among the fan base on what United should do next. That's because 13 per cent of voters chose to give Solskjaer the job until the end of the season while 13 per cent backed Brendan Rodgers for the role.
