Manchester United fans urge club to change transfer plans for Paul Pogba

Manchester United fans want the club to do everything in their power to keep Paul Pogba this summer.

Despite falling behind in the first five minutes, United retook top spot in the Premier League on Wednesday with a hard fought 2-1 victory at Fulham.

It was Pogba himself who grabbed the winner in the second-half with a magnificent strike from distance which flew into the top corner, as his great and resurgent run of form continues.

Things looked very different for the Frenchman just a few weeks ago, when he was rarely starting a game and his agent, Mino Raiola, caused controversy.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gives verdict on Paul Pogba's performance against Fulham

The 'super agent' gave an interview in which he claimed Pogba was unhappy at Old Trafford and that his time at the club had come to an end, earmarking the coming summer transfer window as the perfect time for him to leave Manchester for a second time.

With Pogba's contract currently set expire in 2022, reports suggested that United would look to cash in on their want-away star at the end of the season rather than risk losing him for nothing, with Juventus, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain all linked.

Fans were understandably furious with Raiola's comments but, following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's deft handling of the situation and Pogba's drastic improvement on the pitch, they are now desperate for him to stay.

Following his match winning strike at Craven Cottage, Pogba told BT Sport: "I hit the ball well, I didn't expect it with the left foot like this but if you don't try, then you don't score.

"It was a beautiful goal and beautiful win. It wasn't my favourite goal ever but it was still beautiful.

"It's a big win because it was a hard game. We knew it would be difficult. They press really well and stay compact. We had to come back and we needed this win and we got it."
