Manchester United fans think they have a new first team starter after Scott McTominay goal vs Wolves

Manchester United fans want to see Scott McTominay as a first choice starter after he registered his first goal for the club against Wolves.

McTominay was named in the starting XI by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Molineux as Ander Herrera was injured and Nemanja Matic was dropped.

McTominay had been dropped, along with Fred, despite performing heroics in midfield during the Champions League win over PSG last month.

So United fans were already pleased to see him starting at Wolves - especially after poor showings from Matic and Herrera since returning to the side - and were even more delighted to see him open the scoring from long range.

The arrowed finish prompted fans to bring out their affectionate nickname for McTominay in recognition of his talent - 'McSauce'. And supporters were also quick to demand McTominay's inclusion ahead of Matic going forward, including against Barcelona in he Champions League quarter finals.
