Manchester United fans were jumping to the conclusion that Paul Pogba is staying at the club after he celebrated the club's return to the Champions League on social media.
United went into Sunday's game at Leicester only needing a point to secure a return to European club football's premier competition but emerged with all three after goals from Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard.
Qualification for the Champions League is a major boost for United as they continue their rebuild under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with the best players more likely to be settled in Manchester while elite-level European football is on offer.
As well as prospective transfer targets, another player more likely to be happy at United with the club in the Champions League is Paul Pogba, and he took to Twitter after Sunday's win over Leicester to write: "Let’s gooooooo @ChampionsLeague baby."
Needless to say, United fans took it as a hint that Pogba is excited to play in the competition with United next season.
Pogba's future at United has repeatedly been questioned in recent years but he seems settled at the moment and United are hopeful that the 26-year-old will sign a new contract at the club.
Pogba's current deal expires next year and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has previously outlined his hope that Pogba will agree new terms with the club.
Solskjaer said earlier this month: "Hopefully we can do something. I know that since Paul's come back he's looking better and better. He's enjoying his football and let's see where it takes us."
