While some Manchester United fans may be proclaiming their delight on social media about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's sacking, it's undoubtedly a sad day for the club.
A club legend is leaving United after a promising start to his managerial career at Old Trafford.
And although it is the decision that many fans have been clamouring for weeks to be announced, many are thankful towards Solskjaer for what he's done as manager of the club he loves.
In a statement, the club said: "Ole will always be a legend at Manchester United and it is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision.
"While the past few weeks have been disappointing, they should not obscure all the work he has done over the past three years to rebuild the foundations for long-term success."
Michael Carrick will take over for the forthcoming games while United look to "appoint an interim manager to the end of the season".
It brings to an end Solskjaer's three-year run as manager of the club, being brought in permanently after a successful interim role.
Many United fans have taken to social media to thank Ole for his time as manager and the hashtag #ThankYouOle is trending on Twitter.
Here's a few of those messages.
