Manchester United fans tell Solskjaer which two players should stay in team vs Brighton

Some Manchester United supporters want to see Dean Henderson start in goal instead of David De Gea in Saturday lunchtime’s game against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Henderson played in United's 3-0 win over Luton Town in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening, and impressed on his debut.

Tom Lockyer’s near-post header was saved fantastically well by Henderson, before the second attempt was cleared off the line when United were only 1-0 up.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Sheffield United in their first season back in the Premier League and impressed for the Blades, but now he's in the mix at United again and already staking his claim.

There was also a start for Eric Bailly alongside Harry Maguire following Victor Lindelof's poor performance at the weekend. The Ivorian, who has struggled for fitness and consistent form since his first season with the club, impressed at Kenilworth Road and some supporters have called for him to keep his place in the team as well.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was impressed with Henderson's performance in Luton as he told Sky Sports after the match: "There are some positives, the keeper [Dean Henderson] does his job, we scored some nice goals towards the end, apart from that it was a good workout.

"That is probably the job our keepers sometimes have to do, you have to make saves when needed and David [de Gea] has done that for years and Dean did that today."
