Manchester United fans spotted leaving at half-time during Liverpool rout at Old Trafford

Manchester United fans had seen enough by half time at Old Trafford on Sunday, with thousands pictured flocking away from the stadium as Liverpool ran riot.

The Theatre of Dreams became a waking nightmare for the home supporters, as the visitors capitalised on some slapstick defending to race into a four-goal lead at half time thanks to a brace from Mohamed Salah and goals from Naby Keita and Diogo Jota.

Eventually Liverpool ran out 5-0 winners and while a number United fans stayed to the end to back the team, there were swathes of empty seats at Old Trafford as the final whistle was blown.

While the United fans streamed out, the visiting supporters continued to serenade their team long after the final whistle.

The iconic win sees Liverpool continue their stellar star to the Premier League season, as they moved within one point of leaders Chelsea with the victory.

The result also heaps even more pressure on United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as the Red Devils were pulled apart by the rampant visitors on their own patch.

United have now lost three and drawn one of their last four Premier League games and are already eight points off the pace nine games into the top-flight campaign.
