Liverpool have agreed their first signing of the summer with Ibrahima Konate, and it has caught the attention of Manchester United fans.
This afternoon, the Reds announced a deal to sign Konate from RB Leipzig as he competes with France for the Under-21 European Championships which resume on Monday.
Leipzig had a release clause of £36m in Konate’s contract, and Liverpool are set to pay the fee and make the centre-back Jurgen Klopp’s latest recruit.
The 22-year-old featured for Leipzig in both Champions League group games against Man United prior to Christmas, featuring in the final game to knock Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side out of the competition.
After seeing the news that Konate is set to join Liverpool, Man United fans took to Twitter to express their worry.
