Manchester United fans spot what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Jack Grealish did at full time

Manchester United fans are speculating that Jack Grealish could move to Old Trafford after a photo emerged of him speaking with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Friday night.

MEN Sport reported that United were interested in signing Grealish in 2020 but were put off by his £80million price tag after the Villa captain helped his side to avoid relegation.

Grealish subsequently signed a new contract at Villa Park as United signed Donny van de Beek from Ajax for a much lower fee.

United have several players who can play in advanced midfield roles but there are doubts over the long-term future of Paul Pogba after comments from his agent, Mino Raiola, last month.

The emergence of a photo showing Grealish and Solskjaer seemingly in conversation with one another whilst walking off the pitch got huge traction on social media last night, with United fans suggesting it could be an indicator of a potential transfer.

Former United captain Gary Neville believes that it's very unlikely that the club will sign Grealish, despite his rise in stock after his Premier League and England performances.

"I think it's very unlikely Manchester United would move for Jack Grealish, as good as he is," Neville told Sky Sports during United's game against Villa.

"When you think of Van de Beek, Pogba, Fernandes, the type of players they have. There are no doubts, there were accusations about style over substance but now he's delivering on a consistent basis. He's a brilliant player for Aston Villa."

Former United striker Andy Cole has been impressed with Grealish. "I think what he's shown at the moment and over the last few seasons, he could play for any of the top-four teams," Cole said before kick-off.

"I'm not being disrespectful to Aston Villa, they won't want to lose him, he's their talisman. Everything goes through him, he produces passes for his teammates and scores goals.

"I think we all know he's a quality player. He's still a young man, still learning the game, still want to improve."
