Manchester United fans spot something exciting about Perth Glory starting XI

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer named a popular starting XI in Manchester United's first pre-season game of 2019 as he handed a debut to Daniel James and named Anthony Martial as the central striker.

United take on Perth Glory in Australia for their first pre-season fixture, and Solskjaer's choice of attacking formation went down well with supporters.

Young winger Tahith Chong got the nod opposite debutant James in a pacey front four that sees Jesse Lingard support Martial up front.

Fans have been desperate to see Martial deployed in a central role, and saw the friendly as his chance to stake his claim for that position when the Premier League resumes next month.

As it stands, Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku will fight for the starting spot in Solskjaer's team, but with Lukaku's future unresolved there could be a space for Martial to occupy through the season.
