Manchester United fans spot Harry Maguire's dig at Liverpool FC on Twitter

Manchester United fans have hailed Harry Maguire as a legend after they spotted his choice of picture when thanking former club Leicester.

Maguire joined United from the Foxes in an £80million deal and took to Twitter to thank his old club for their support.

He wrote: "Massive thank you to @LCFC for your brilliant support and amazing memories. We’ve been through many highs and some real lows but we stuck together. I wish you all the best in the future and I’m sure with a great owner you will keep rising as a club."

But United fans were more concerned with Maguire's choice of image to accompany the message, as their new defender chose a picture of him celebrating a goal against Liverpool at Anfield last season.

The goal earned a draw for Leicester, which is seen as the result that eventually cost Liverpool the Premier League title.

Safe to say, fans loved Maguire's early dig at Liverpool.
