Manchester United fans have been sent wild after transfer target Jadon Sancho was spotted in the UK ahead of Borussia Dortmund's self-imposed transfer deadline.
United have been keen to complete a deal for the England international in the summer transfer window but negotiations are still ongoing over a possible club-record move.
MEN Sport reported on Tuesday that United are prepared to walk away from a deal for Sancho and have not agreed personal terms with the player's representatives or a fee with Dortmund, who are believed to be holding out for £108million.
Senior United sources believe Dortmund's self-imposed deadline of August 10 is 'meaningless' and described it as 'artificial' since the summer transfer window actually closes on October 5.
However, many United fans have fresh confidence over a deal after Sancho was pictured at a house party in the UK with rap duo Krept and Konan on Saturday night.
Dortmund are set to begin their pre-season training camp in Switzerland on Monday but many United fans believe Sancho's journey home is evidence he is close to agreeing a transfer to United.
