Manchester United fans want to see Mason Greenwood start against West Ham in the Premier League this weekend after his goal against Astana on Thursday night.
The 17-year-old was handed his second competitive start in the Europa League group game at Old Trafford and scored the deciding goal in United's 1-0 win against the Kazakh side and fans want to see him given another chance in the next game.
The forward has been a substitute in each of United's five league games this season but 93 per cent of 1,181 fans who voted in an MEN Twitter poll want to see him given a chance from the start at the London Stadium.
The teenager became United's youngest goalscorer in Europe on Thursday night with his second half goal but Solskjaer was not surprised to see the England Under-21 international get on the score sheet.
"We always know that in and around the box he's one of the best finishers we've got," Solskjaer said.
"If you want to make it as a United player you have to handle the fans. Mason won us the game so we're very pleased for him."
The Norwegian also confirmed Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw are set to miss the trip to West Ham with Daniel James also a doubt, which could open up a place for Greenwood in the starting XI.
"Not really, no," Solskjaer said when asked if Pogba and Martial would be fit. "They've not been training yet so I don't think so. [Luke] won't be ready.
"Daniel James? I don't know. He's not trained the last few days. Hopefully, but not sure. We'll have a recovery day with everyone tomorrow and we'll see on Saturday."
