Manchester United fans send message to Ed Woodward after Tanguy Ndombele to Spurs transfer update

Tottenham Hotspur look set to sign Tanguy Ndombele after they reportedly agreed a club-record £65million deal with Lyon.

The 22-year-old is expected to join the club in a five-year deal after undergoing a medical in the next few days.

Ndombele has emerged as one of the most highly-rated central midfielders in Europe after an impressive season in Ligue 1. He made 33 league appearances and also stood out in games against Man City and Barcelona in the Champions League.

United have been linked with a move for the French international as Ole Gunnar Solskjae r aims to reinforce his midfield this summer.

The club allowed Marouane Fellaini to leave in January while Ander Herrera is heading to PSG on a free transfer.

Bruno Fernandes, Sean Longstaff, Declan Rice and Youri Tielemans are all on the radar as United look to strengthen their midfield.

But it now seems that Spurs are going to win the race for Ndombele and disappointed United fans been reacting to the news on social media.

'Looks like a real quality player'

'How far we have fallen'

'We get 2nd raters'

'Shows what we lack in every department'

'United struggling to get it done'

'We paid £52m for Fred'

'Would this happen at another big clubs?'
