Manchester United fans want Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to sign Paulo Dybala as Romelu Lukaku's replacement if the Belgian striker leaves this summer.
Responding to a poll run by MEN Sport 36 per cent United supporters replied that they'd like the club to target the Juventus forward over the likes of Mauro Icardi, Luka Jovic and Moussa Dembele.
It comes as news of Lukaku's potential departure to Serie A emerged, with incoming Internazionale boss Antonio Conte understood to be keen on signing the former Chelsea forward.
Lukaku has hinted in the past that he'd be open to a move to Italy. He struggled towards the end of last season under Solskjaer, failing to find the net in his final eight appearances before injury ruled him out of the final two games of the campaign against Huddersfield and Cardiff.
The transfer situation could prompt United to delve into the market for a forward player this summer. They've been linked with Dembele, Robert Lewandowski and Dybala, among others. And despite the fact Dybala is not a traditional centre forward in the mould of Lukaku, he is clearly an attractive proposition to some supporters.
Current Inter frontman Icardi polled the next highest with 31 per cent of the vote — from more than 14,000 respondents at the time of writing — while Jovic, who seems bound, for Real Madrid got 20 per cent and Lyon forward Dembele 12 per cent.
Some United fans also named AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek and Fluminese forward Pedro as potential striking options for United in the transfer market if they need to sign a Lukaku replacement.
