Manchester United fans send message about transfer plan after Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Manchester United fans believe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to make three further signings — even after the deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka is completed.

United remain hopeful they can secure the signing of the Crystal Palace right-back and are still expected to announce him as their second summer arrival following Daniel James.

Solskjaer is thought to want another three arrivals and it appears the supporters are in agreement with the Norwegian.

In answer to a poll run by the MEN, 66 per cent of more than 8,000 respondents said 'three' when asked 'after Wan-Bissaka, how many more signings do Manchester United need to make this summer?'

Only two per cent believe one more signing is needed, 14 per said said two more signings after Wan-Bissaka would suffice, and 18 per cent — plus a number who responded to the tweet with a comment — think at least four more arrivals are necessary this summer.

United will target centre-back and central midfield after the acquisition of a right-back in Wan-Bissaka.

They may need to replace Romelu Lukaku too, with the Belgian forward interested in a move to Inter Milan. Paul Pogba and David De Gea are the other major United stars to have been linked with a transfer away from Old Trafford this summer.

As well as three further incomings, Solskjaer also has to process a number of departures with several United players surplus to requirements. Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian are believed to be at the top of the list of potential departees. Alexis Sanchez could also be sold after enduring a horrific time at United 18 months after his January 2018 move from Arsenal.

According to the fans, a total of five summer signings would do the trick — plus James and Wan-Bissaka.
