Manchester United fans send Liverpool FC a message after Club World Cup victory

Manchester United fans attending the Premier League clash with Watford on Sunday sent a message to rivals Liverpool following their success in the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Reds beat Brazilian outfit Flamengo 1-0 after extra time to become world champions for the first time in their history - having previously lost twice in the final of the competition.

Manchester United, meanwhile, have won the Club World Cup twice in their history - and the visiting supporters at Vicarage Road made sure to point that out to their Liverpool counterparts.

"World champions twice, once more than England, world champions twice," they sang during the opening exchanges of United 's clash against the Hornets.

Manchester United's two victories in the competition came in 1999 after their historic treble, when it was known as the Intercontinental Cup, and lifted the trophy in it's current format back in 2008.

The latter victory saw United become the first British club to win the FIFA Club World Cup, following their victory against LDU Quito in Yokohama, Japan.
