Manchester United fans are convinced that Erling Haaland would be the right January transfer for the club.
United are interested in a deal for the RB Salzburg striker, who has worked with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the past, with the Reds' head of global scouting Marcel Bout watching Haaland play in a Champions League clash with Liverpool last week.
Solskjaer is also understood to have flown to meet Haaland's representatives in Salzburg early on Friday morning.
Solskjaer hinted after United's 1-1 draw with Everton at the weekend that he believed Haaland had decided on his future, amid interest from other European clubs including Borussia Dortmund and Salzburg's sister club RB Leipzig.
"I don't comment on them speculations so that's it," said the United boss. He [Haaland] knows what he wants to do and he knows what he's going to do. So I don't have to give any advice to any other teams' players."
So with a move in the balance, MEN Sport asked United fans about Haaland.
In response to the question: "Is Erling Haaland the right January signing for Manchester United?", 72 per cent of United fans — with more than 2,000 respondents to the poll — voted "yes".
A 28 per cent share voted "no", with United also interested in Jadon Sancho and James Maddison, among other targets.
It seems as though United fans have made their mind up on their January priorities.
