Manchester United fans send clear message to David de Gea after West Ham win

David de Gea bailed Manchester United out against West Ham as he produced another memorable save to prevent the visitors from going in front at Old Trafford.

The Spaniard produced a sprawling dive to his right to tip over Michail Antonio's header and keep the scores level at 1-1 during a particularly rocky period for United in the second half.

The 28-year-old took to Twitter after the match to celebrate the three points, secured by two successfully converted Paul Pogba penalties, with a simple message.

"Together as a TEAM, always," the message, posted alongside a picture of himself with Phil Jones and Pogba, read.

United are desperate to keep hold of De Gea, whose contract at the club expires at the end of next season, and fans have urged him to commit to a new deal after his latest masterclass.

It is the MEN's understanding that qualification for next season's Champions League will be key to United's chances of keeping the 28-year-old.
